can't boot into windows 98 with G4Ti4200 video car

I have an Azus motherboard, pentium P3 500 and have changed the video card to a AGP type MSI G4Ti4200 mainly because I need the DVI output that it provides. The problem now is that it always sticks on the windows 98 boot screen. It will work only in safe mode and I know that the video card is not faulty. I read in a magazine that someone else had the same problem but did not have an answer. Is this a known problem and is there any fix.

Try booting into safe mode and uninstally you graphicas card drivers.

Shutdown and reboot. It should then boot into windows, admitedly with basic graphics.

reinstall the drivers, shut down and reboot.

Try that and see if it works!
