Can't access websites

  fourchon 01:01 08 Apr 09

I am using firefox 3 and when I type in a website address all I get is a couple of lines of text,( which look like links) not the complete page. When I go to Yahoo mail, it says it cannot load, but lets me get into Yahoo Classic. My MSN hotmail page loads, shows me my inbox but wont let me open any mail.

I have recently been away and been cleaning it up, have I done something that I shouldn't have, because before I started I made a restore point, but when I ask to restore to before I played around it says it cannot restore. I checked the settings and system restore is definitely enabled.

I am using XP, no probs on any of the other computers in the house with the same internet connection.
