can't access any sites with secure sign in i.e msn, secure orders or windows update site. have reloaded ie6 (its not in add/remove programs so can't repair etc.)can't restore to earlier restore point as this was switched off. have run bho, spybot, adaware, hijackthis, coolwebsearch remover. have reset security settings have even tried lowering them. on winupdate page it tells me my security settings do not allow me to run active x. i have set ie to run them and have logged on as administrator.

click here response no. 10 but check here here or you could Start, Run, and type: services.msc
go to Cryptographic Services and double-click it. Make sure it is set to Automatic and Started.
