can't access domain names

Broadband connection. USB connection. Windows ME. Can PING IP address' but not Domain names. Therefore Internet Explorer doesn't work!

Any one able to help. There has been talk about winsock but then there has also been talk about nuking the whole damn lot!

If you launch Internet Explorer, and in the address type;

You should get PC Advisor appear!

Have you checked your Hosts file? click here

Try renaming or deleting all of them.

I was trying to narrow down the possible problem you may have. You initially made no comment on e-mails, and only suggested you may have a problem with IE.

Sometimes, if the problem is NAT related, you can connect via a numerical address, but not a domain name; hence the question, but being as you appear to only be able to answer in sarcastic terms, I will not bother you further.
