hi anyone any ideas how i can stop this usb scanner from starting up when windows boots?there is no on\off switch so im assuming because its usb powered it just turns on when the pc comes on,checked "start up" and theres nothing relating to this loading up,it adds about 20 secs to the boot up time, think its calibrating.

Pull the usb lead out whilst not in use.

There are a few scanners like this, no on/off switch and start up everytime. As far as I know the only way to stop it is to remove the cable as Jak_1 has suggested.

Only when you plug it back in to use it.
