Canoscan D1250U2F on Win 7

  Exco 11:34 12 Oct 10

When I try to instal the driver on Win 7, I get the message that the scanner isn't connected even though it is and is switched on.

When first plugged into a USB port windows detected it and tried to instal it but without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have checked the canon website and this scanner appears to be too old to have drivers written for it for Windows 7.
So you either need to use a different operating system or a different scanner.

This model is now quite a few years old (I've got two of them stuck in a cupboard). Even though Vista drivers are listed they wouldn't install to that OS, and no drivers at all are are listed on the Canon site for Win7. click here
If you are trying to install from the CD, that dates back to XP and will be useless.
Time to move on I think.

I find this really strange. I've got it working on my laptop using Vista drivers but I can't seem to do it on my desktop.
