Hi all

I bought a Canon i865 printer a few months ago and was delighted with my purchase, especially in terms of speed of printing.

However for two weeks the printer has been playnig up. It is v v v slow, it seems to take ages for teh data to be transferred from the computer to the printer, thuogh when printing starts, it can proceed at a normal pace but then usually stops suddenly before the printing job is finished.

The Printer Monitor is at all times saying 'Printer is Not Responding'.

I have downloaded the latest driver to no avail.

I am on Windows XP.

Thaks in advance for any info.

Hi, have you recently added anything else, like a usb hub? I've found my i850 is much slower when fed through a hub even though it's a powered one.
also my speedtouch modem refuses to work through the same hub. Both are ok with direct connection. Regards, yaesu

Thanks for the msg.

In fact I use parallel port. And in any case, I haven't made any other changes to the connections...
