It was working fine on y friends computer (XP) I have Windows 98SE I can install the software for it no problem, when I go into scanners on control panel no scanner s listed, if I say add scanner it only lists Kodak, I have pressed have disc, but it says
"The specified location does not contain information about your hardware" I have the option from choosing A:\C:\ E:\ HELP!

Is the device USB powered?
That is relies on USB for power or can you power it indipendantly via a 'power brick'
If the scanner is working Ok elsewhere and you are relying un USB for power then you almost
certainly have a computer power supply problem.
Unplug all USB devices then try.
If this does not work get hold of a POWERED USB hub.
