Canon printer problem

I've checked the two threads where other users have asked about a similar problem to this one but I don't think it is quite the same.

I have a Canon Bubble Jet i865. A few weeks ago the cyan colour stopped printing completely. It gives no output on the printing test page. I have tried repeated runs of both the cleaning and deep cleaning functions.

I have tried removing and replacing the cyan cartridge having ensured that it does have ink in it and that the ink is coming through.

The problem occurs whichever of my two computers (Win SE98 and Win XP respectively) it is linked to, so a driver problem seems unlikely.

Does this leave the print head mechanism as the only likely culprit? If so, is it possible to get a replacement - either from a retailer or direct from Canon?

If you contact Canon they will give you a telephone number to ring. I did have it but can't find it.
