Canon Pixma MP250

I Bought this printer today and the test images i have printed have been very faded and washed out. I turned the settings up so that darkness was at maximum and intensity at maximum, but nothing helped, or even made any difference at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normally Canon printers require you to install the print head before you can install the cartridges. Are you certain that you did this correctly? Did you run the head alignment programme and did it look OK? Expensive I know but you could try new Canon Cartridges. Did you buy locally or via the internet? If the former you could take your print outs and the printer back to the shop and ask them to check it out for you.

I found out that if i print the pictures from any program except windows photo gallery, they are OK. Thanks for responding.
