Cannot view "sponsored" links from search

When I use Yahoo! search engine to look for a product or service, there is usually 3 or 4 "sponsored" links at the top of the list. I can never view any of these - "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I use a customised hosts file, but turning this off makes no difference. Tried turning off pop-up blocker, still the same. Any ideas?

More info: same problem when using google for search. I have spywareblaster installed, turning this off makes no difference. I have no other ad blocking programs installed.

As far as I know it is your new Host file that stops the top 3 from showing.
This is the one I use.

Not sure if there is a way around it or not but it does not bother me anymore and have stopped looking at the top 3.
I use google and it is the same with that.
If I remember right if you copy and paste the address into the address bar it opens up Ok.

Many thanks, buteman. Restored the default hosts file, and the links are now working again. I use the same hosts file as you, and find it an excellent safeguard against all those nasties out there. Much obliged.
