cannot surf

i run win xp, when i use my isp it tells me that it is connected to blueyonder, but i cannot get google or yahoo or any web pages,i get cannot open this page/dns error 500 but the status shows that it is doing something.i am on dial up.
can anyone help?

OK... first lets find out if it is your system...

go to "Start-Control Pannel->User Accounts" and create a new account called "My Temp Area"... We will delete this area later so don't worry....

Now log into "My Temp Area" and go onto the interent (exactly how you would normally)... Go to the websites that don't work and post back if you can access them....

Did it work before, if so try a restore to a date previous to the problem.

if you have sp2 see if the firewall is allowing blueyonder through. in ie tools diable pop up blocker.
