I'm using a Asus p4c800 e deluxe mother board with windows XP Pro. The problem is that when I select shutdown the PC shuts down but immediatley reboots. The only way I can turn the PC off is to turn off the power. Everything else is running correctly just cant shut down!
I did upgrade the Bios but I'm sure it was working OK after that.
I have tried to go back to a restore point but everyone I select will not restore.
Anyone got any ideas?

Have you got wake on LAN enabled in BIOS or something simular.

Once had a PC that kept restarting every time mouse moved.

Ok solved problem, followed instructions from microsoft, although dont have Roxio easy cd installed! Had used a cd which had been created with it and it installed a problem file!
Down loaded fix but would not install but seems to be fixed, your guess is as good as mine but worked!
