Sorry using:

Outlook express 5.5

I have checked and double checked the settings. I can do this at home, but here at work.

Wouldn't I be a bit stupid to put someones actual email address on here....!

It is a fake email for illustration.

I have a account at home I'd like to still send and receive the emails whilst at work! However I can only receive and not send.

Yes i realised that the e-mail address was a fake!!!!! :-O I mean what about the REAL address....

Some ISPs do not allow you to send mail on connections other than their own so this maybe the reason you can receive but not send.

If you are connecting from work then your Network admin might have a block on people sending out mail from no work accounts. Have you checked with them??

The "...send emails through my own website" was just a Red Herring then...

I am the IT Admin...ha.
I have sorted it: There is two options you have to do, either pay for a remote Port 2525, as your port 25 gets blocked/choked by the smtp other words rejected as it is not recognised. So a remote one will allow you to send and receive anywhere etc...

or I tinckered with the settings and got it to go, by settign the outmail as, where I have a remote account.

Thanks mate for your help.
