A friend of mine has a problem with her emails. She can receive with no problem but when she sends they do not arrive, they do not return as unable to deliver.Anyone any idea what is possibly the problem...........Thanks
Is she using a standard mail program or webmail? Are they going from the "outbox" to the "sent items" box?Does she have the correct smtp server details set?
yes she is using a standard email programmeand no they are not going fromoutbox to sentand as far as she knows she has the coreect smtp settings
Time for more info - what operating system, what mail progrmam, details of any error messages and so on.
Incoming Mail Server is for example(POP3: = POP3.(theirserver).co.uk (or COM etc.).Outgoing Mail:-(SMTP): = SMTP.(theirserver).co.uk (or COM etc).Incoming Server POP3 should be set to 110Outgoing Server SMTP should be set to 25
The operating system is Windows MEshe is using Freeserve as her mail programmeand there are no error messages
Make sure the outgoing server(smtp), is smtp.freeserve.net I know this will sound obvious but just make sure that the . (dots) are present.
Thanks everyone for your help the lady has gone home to try your suggestions.
