Cannot Install This Hardware

Hi Forum Members

I have experienced this problem since last year
when my CMOS battery died.
I installed a new CMOS battery but everytime I go to connect my MP3 player, or Minidisc Player,
I keep receiving the Windows Hardware Wizard.
I have Win XP (SP2), and therefore should not receive this error message.
By the way my older USB devices such as Flash Drives still work and are recognised by my PC.

I have tried everything.

Any help would be very much appreciated

Kind regards

Rogmur

The BIOS setting are running in Default state if you did not save or write down the settings, Before you replaced the Battery
