Cannot get Win XP to load

I have just got myself a new mobo and CPU as an upgrade. Mobo is Foxconn K8S755A series and CPU an AMD 64 3000+. The PC boots into BIOS OK, but as soon as XP should start loading, I just see a flash of XP start up logo, screen goes blank, and it goes back to running through the BIOS start up again

Did you un-install the motherboard drivers from your last motherboard.

Can you boot into safe mode, if you can remove the old drivers in the control panel and re-boot. Then install the new drivers.

If that does not work you may have to do a system repair using your XP cd. That way you will not loose any information.

Tahnks to you all who so rapidly sprung to my assistance. Had a look at all the leads & links, and got sorted by following PSF links. Great stuff. Just what the forums are all about
