cannot delete .tmp file

I recently was on the internet and got an extra toolbar whose contents changed depending on the site that I was on. I also got shortcuts appearing on the desktop for casinos etc. This had something to do with a site called I downloaded 2 uninstallers and they got rid of the shortcuts on the desktop but the toolbar remained behind. By removing the toolbar from the registry I managed to get rid of this also. Ever since this started I get questioned by my firewall to allow access to the internet for a file. This file name changes each time the computer is switched on (e.g. Nf055.TMP or Yrl7295.TMP). I have tried to get rid of the file but it won't delete. It is in the windows/temp directory. Naturally I deny this file access to the internet when requested.

Has anyone any ideas what this is and how to delete it ?

All help much appreciated.
