Trying to copy a set of files but get this error message "cannot copy thumbs: access denied". Can't seem to find any refernce to this. Any ideas? Using Win XP SP 3

How are you selecting and copying the thumbnail files?

Do you use the file menu or the keyboard?

Also has your account any restrictions on it?

I assume you are copying photos? If so, nothing to worry about. It is just a small file that is created to control the settings when the photos are displayed as thumnails. If it is deleted, or not copied, it will regenerate next time you display your pics as thumnails. Type "thumbs" into Google..there are many postings that will explain.

Thanks for advice. Discovered that by going into Folder Options can tick "Do not cache thumbnail" which prevents this file being created.
