Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt

At the prompt type:-

After a while it may tell you there are programs running and do you want to continue. If it does choose N

It will then ask if you want to convert at the next re-boot Choose Y

Where 'convert' 'C' is the drive letter you wish to change.

The volume label is the name that appears next to the drive in My Computer. Also you can open a command prompt and type VOL C: and press Enter. The volume label will be shown on the first line with the drive serial number on the second line.
