Cannot access help centre

  doriena 21:57 07 Dec 04

I am using Windows xp home and when I try to access the help and support option from the start menu I get the message
"Windows cannot find helpctr.exe"
IT worked fine until quite recently and the helpctr.exe file is definitely on the computer, a search shows two entries
one in C:\WINDOWS\SErvicePackFiles\i386
and another in C:WINDOWS\PCHealth|HelpCtr\Binaries
Can anyone help please?

I have these two files on my pc. I wonder if the registry needs fixing. I do mine with system mechanic, but I bet there's a free uttility somewhere
