CanAdobe Reader fill in forms AND send them?

I made a PDF form in OpenOffice and exported it as PDF.

The file then opened in Adobe Reader and I could fill in the fields no problem. BUT, it did say something like,"you can fill the fields in but you can't save the changed document, you can only print it!"

So, my question is: is there a way of getting Adobe Reader to fill in form fields and be able to save it to the hard drive?

Not sure about Adobe. I`d suggest "printing" it to a pdf converter like CutePDF or PrimoPDF - that should work.

I use PDF Xchange Viewer. PDF Xchange Viewer Home PageThis has replaced Adobe on my machine because it can do so much more including filling in forms and saving the results. You can also highlight, add sticky notes, comments, etc. Take a look.
