Hi, I bought a new Acer 3624 note book in Canada, and will be bringing it back to the UK. Will it work ok there, and will the power adapter handle 240V? i will have to change the plug on it. It's wifi enabled too

The power adapter should have no problems - people can trave world wide with laptops without any problems.

Changing the plug will not be strictly necessary if you are happy to use a travel adapter to go into the UK power socket.

If you bought it on a short trip to Canada you may be hit by customs duty on the way in so beware...

Hope it was a good deal!

One other thing to consider, is the warranty on the new Acer. Acer UK may well deny any support due to regional agreements.Customs may request further information of purchase and the original sales receipt.

One tip - buy the Canada-to-UK plug adaptor in Canada. That kind of adaptor can be a bit hard to track down in the UK.
