Can you Send/Recieve Faxes using Broadband ?

Is it possible to Send & Recieve Faxes when you have Broadband ? Some of my Work contacts still won't except Emails and only accept FAX.

NO Its all down to the way the phone lines work BB digital, Voice/Faxes analogue.

you need an (analogue modem) old 56k dialup to send faxes.

So it would be best if I set-up a Pay as U Go account, to run along side my Broadband.

I take it that would be ok to have a Dial-up Pay as-u-go & B/Band ?

Yes that would be fine I still have my dialup working for emergncies.

I am on Blueyonder Broadband and use winfax pro, that works with no problem.

NOT necessary. All you need is a dial-up modem and a fax program such as that which comes with XP. I use the excellent Phone Tools program which comes pre-installed with Dell PCs. You don't need to subscribe to an ISP to send/receive faxes.

You simply plug the dial-up modem into the 'phone end of your ADSL filter and off you go.
