I have been looking at games for my new computer recently but am unsure of what games Windows XP will be able to use properly. I realise that all the new releases will be XP compatible, but what about the old games. There are certain games such as 'Black and White', 'Max Payne' etc that don't say that they are compatible with XP on the box.

Can i assume that games that are compatible with win2000 will be compatible with XP?

Or will i need to go on every website to check out the games compatibility?

I would say if its for win 2000 then it would work on XP but check the games web site for xp patches

Its best to go to the game website or email or phone them to be certain for compatibility in XP.

You can use "ompatibilty Mode" in windows XP. To do this right click the game .exe and hit the compatibilty tab...
