I have Win XP PRO on my PC & want Home [long story, don't ask!]. Do I have to do a full install - including my other programs - or is there a simpler way?

I see no reason why you would want to do this. You would need to remove pro and do a clean install of Home.

Like I said, long story, but it does need to be done :o)

I was hoping that I could do a parallel install, copy the drive over to a new partition then remove Pro as I am not sure that I have all the needed registration numbers to hand immediately.

Looks like a full format & install then .........

Try Belarc advisor file:///C:/Program%20Files/Belarc/Advisor/System/tmp/(Arwen).html

It will produce a detailed list of all software on your pc...including product keys where applicable.

Print the results and it will help you reset and reinstall the pc under XP home by having all the information you need to hand.
