This post is sort of connected to a earlier post of about ten days ago titled Recording from TV using external DVD As my set has USB ports I will be able to connect a external hard drive and record to that and playback. Can someone suggest a hard drive not too expensive does not need to be big.Not sure what the smaller sizes are.Maybe a 100 or 150gb and also the best place to get them from.Thank's in anticipation

Sonnics 80GB 2.5 inch External Pocket Sized USB Hard Drive for PC, Laptops, Macs and Playstation 3 - Black Saw this on Amazon wondered what you thought of it. Another question there were quite a few which were BUS powered so do not need mains power would they work off my TV which is a Sony KDL-42W653A

Hi bumpkin must admit never thought of that.As I said does not need to be big as it is on only for recording any TV program which cannot see either because we will not be in or will be watching something on another channel

As bumpkins idea i think you may be better purchasing a usb memory stick rather than a small hard drive, that way no cables to worry about
