Hi,

Ive got the new BT homehub (Rubbish i know). And one of my computers keeps having problems connecting.

The net will work for a few minutes then nothing will be able to connect. Chrome, firefox, MSN etc

But Ventrilo will remain connected and i can ping websites through CMD. Ive heard it may be a DNS problem but i dont know how to fix it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Will

Goto your ethernet cards properties.

scroll down to tcp/ipv4 then select properties.

Have "Obtain an Ip address automatically" selected.

but have "Use the following DNS servers addresses"
and put in 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS).

This will point your browser to the above DNS servers to change a URL into an IP address, so if you are having DNS problems with BT this should sort it.
