Can my Geforce 8600GT cope with new monitor?

Hoping to get Dell U2410 24" IPS Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor with it's native resolution being 1900x 1200, will my Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 256Mb graphics card cope with new monitor, at the moment I am running the Dell 2001fp monitor, but I'm sure the native for this is 1600 x 1200,anyway in the menu nothing indicates that it will go to 1900, your thoughts most appreciated.

Depends on what you want to do. Gaming, no. Normal desktop stuff should be ok.

paperplane: So my video card would stretch to 1900x1200, how can I find this out for myself, is there a formulae for this sort of thing, and I'm not a gamer, but why couldn't I.
ps. Thanks for the quick reply.

It would cope with 1900x1200 easily with normal usage. But when it comes to modern 3D gaming, the larger amount of work it has to do at that resolution would probably result in less than satisfactory results.
