Can i use a recovery CD

when reformatting my computer? if not will i need a full installation disc - i am just wiping the hard drive as previously explained in a previous post (WIN XP already on comptuer and WIN XP on the recovery CD)

That depends on exactly what you mean by recovery disc.

Most recovery discs rest the PC to the same state as the day you bought it, by reinstalling XP and pre installed software from a hidden partion on the hard drive.

Some companies also provide a full copy of XP on a CD so yu can install XP without any other software.

Fruit - i think thast what my recovery CD is - where it resets it to the the same state as what i first got it...
