Can I use IE6 with Vista

  caris 01:27 02 Feb 08

Am having problems trying to download and use the Real Arcade games on my Vista new laptop.

I understand that IE7 is part of the bundled software included with this Toshiba Equium A210 lap top.

I wondered if it was possible to roll back to IE6 without messing up the lap top.

That apart has anyone any ideas of the way forward here?

Finally I wondered if the UAC controls were causing the problems? So wrkaround might be needed here too.

Thank you.

No; click here

You might need to use IE7 as `Administrator`, right click the shortcut and choose Run As Administrator

Thanks brundle. I've just checked the short cut and it is already running as 'Run as Administrator'.

I uninstalled RA yesterday.

Will attempt again to run and download the RA Games.

UAC tells me that IE7 is well as a few others.

I am very new to Vista and feel a bit powerless over it. Wilful little blighter it is. Control freak even.

Watch this space. ;o)
