Can I use a BT hub if I'm not with BT as my isp?

Yes, as long as you set it up using the setup page in the router using Internet Explorer, not a BT disc

On my 3Com its 192.168.1.1 yours may differ but you could try mine also before the numbers above for mine it as http:// in front, but I did not put it in front as PCA would have changed it to a click hear link

BT Homehub address is 192.168.1.254. In general a home hub is locked to BT as BT use a generic logon, and identify the user by their telephone number.

Normally the BT Hub will only work with BT Broadband its locked, It will not even work on BT Buisness broadband The only way is to unlock it and this has only been done on the version 1 Hub.
