I have a HP Pavilion zt1121s laptop and have recently added more RAM. However, I would like a better processor, but do not know whether I can upgrade it. If I can upgrade it, is there a limit as to which processors I can install?

I dont know if you can upgrade. It depends on your motherboard.

Nevertheless you will be limited on speed, as motherboards have a maximum speed chip they can take.

mafu, according to HP, your laptop uses a 1.2G Mobile Pentium 3. click here. According to Intel 1.2G is the fastest you can get. click here. However I have found a 1.4G Mobile Pentium 3 listed -click here, but this small increase in speed is unlikely to significantly improve your laptop, even if the motherboard can take it, and don't forget that more speed equals more power and therefore shorter battery life.
