I've downloaded a file using Adobe Acrobat Reader and can only access it when on the internet. I want to save it to disc for a friend who,as yet, isn't connected - is there a way to do this. I run XP and the file extn is .pdf

Yep - just save it as you would any other file. Look through thhe menus for Save or Save As

I've already tried that but those options are greyed out and I can't access them, do I need some other program to get access to them ??

Can you not just drag and drop it to the disk.

Using Reader 6 there is an icon 'Save a copy' on top menu bar. If not there right click on bar and check File
