Can I replace Win 98se with XP

Hi, On my pc i do not have the usual recovery disks in case of things going wrong. If i need to do a recovery i just have to reboot pressing F11 and the recovery proccess kicks in and loads win 98 SE.
i have win XP installed at the moment but if i had to do a recovery my pc would re install win 98se.
Is it possible to replace 98 with XP so that if i need to do a recovery XP will load instead of 98se.

If U have the Xp disk, & something goes wrong, all U have to do is put the Xp disk in & do a REPAIR. U will need to go into BIOS to make sure Ur Pc will boot-up into CD-ROM.
