Hi am trying to remotely control my home laptop from my work laptop. My home laptop is permanently connected to the net via a wireless conection from a belkin adsl modem/router all in one.

I have no issues with a work firewall etc but just need some ideas on how to remotely control my home laptop from work.

many thanks.

You require something on the lines of LapLink or MyPCAnywhere or, if you have XP, remote access is available.

See XP's Help and Support pages if you have the operating system (click on Remote Desktop).

I have XP Pro so not sure if this applies to XP Home.

For Remote Desktop the remote computer must be running XP Pro. The client computer can run any version of Windows down to Workgroups.

For Remote Assistance both pc's must run XP (either version)

Spot on - it's on my system but I've never had occasion to use it yet....:-)
