I run Windows Me. There are instructions to make a rescue floppy, but I don't have a floppy drive. Can I make a rescue CD with my CD burner?

Hi, depending on how much stuff you have on your hd you could do a full sytem backup to cd, with something like Nero or similar.

Cheers.

Did you notice that link to Sysbotz is for Linux, all the download files are for RPM files and the commands are Linux, unless I'm mistaken they won't work with Windows ME.

Using the "backup" facility included with various windows is pointless,I believe its little more than a registry backup.

I would heartily recommend you get a "proper" hdd imaging app(Drive Image/Acronis,etc)as images created within wimpdoze are unable to access "in use" files, leading to problems reinstalling from them.

You should be able to purchase cheap older versions of these,or even find one on a coverdisc.
