Can I Install A SCSI Hard Drive?

  s99Raj 18:52 30 Nov 06

I have an Asus A8V-E Deluxe motherboard and a SCSI Seagate ST373207LW Hard Drive.

Can I somehow connect this hard drive to this motherboard?

Only with a PCI scsi card.

OK, thanks. Is there such a thing as a SCSI to IDE adaptor?

From my experience with a scsi scanner, you need a suitable card installed with a scsi connector at the back of your case. I have an Adaptec AIC-7850 PCI SCSI controller but it is quite old and followed the scanner as I change/upgrade PCs. You probably need to go to the Adaptec site and/or google for scsi controller PCI card

Sorry. I'm a sirry iriot , the card needs to have the interface connector inside the case, I also have an old scsi cdrom and got confused with the 2 cards
