Can I hide the geographical location of my PC

Is it possible to "hide" the location from which I am using the internet? I spend part of my time in the UK and part in Spain. A couple of days ago I used a site from the UK with no problems, but now that I have arrived in Spain the site tells me that as I'm not in the UK I can't use it! I thought I remembered reading something somewhere about being able to block details of your location by going to a particular site before surfing the web - of course, now I want to use it I can't remember which website it was (or indeed anything more about it!) Please can anyone help

You can go through a proxy server, if you type in "public proxy servers" into Google you'll find lists of them. Some work and some don't, it's a case of experimenting.

This site shows you how to set up a proxy server once you've got the IP address click here
