Can I 'Fully Install' from a Disc?

I have a slight problem....!

I want to Install Command and conquer from my disc to the PC in full as the disc now has a small crack on the centre spindle hole (can only get worse). I have the game installed on my PC but you need the disc to run it...

I would like to install the programme fully so the disc is no longer needed and will therefore last longer (when i need to fully reinstall windows in the future should it go bottoms up!

Is there a way I can do this at all. The install has worked OK at present and while the disc was 100% OK, but if I continue to use it, it will snap in half.

Copying the disc to another is no good as it still requires the original disc to run it.......

I run win XP and on a laptop (the constant disc in/out has started to snap the disc).
Over to you

1 - Try copying the cracked disc to a working disc.

2 - Try googling this problem.

Hope it helps.

I run REd Alert and Yuri from a virtual CD drive on the HDDs of my PC.

Try Nero to see if it will copy the disc
