All help greatfully received. I have a Laptop and a desktop PC that I want to connect, can I use a wireless PCMCIA card in the laptop and a wirelass PCI card in the Desktop? Or do I need a wireless network access point?

You can link the two together using 'ad-hoc' networking. It's the same as using a crossover Network cable to connect 2 computers. So just select 'ad-hoc' rather than 'infra-structure' when setting up the network and two wifi cards. Good luck!
