can I attach my desktop keyboard

can I attach my desktop keyboard to my laptop as I am thinking of removing my desktop pc but will miss the keyboard.

What I want to do is leave my 3 in 1 printer and speakers on my desk and just connect my laptop to them when I wish.

Yes. If it is XP it should recognise it as new hardware and run. If not any software which came with the keyboard will need to be installed.

With one slight proviso in that many laptops now come without PS2 sockets, so adding a PS2 keyboard could need an adapter.

Just to tell you that I bought my adapter for £5ish and the setup works very well.

If I am doing a longish letter etc, I attach it, if taking LT downstairs for short stints, I use my touch pad, thanks guys
