here are the specs sheet for my laptop

Total physical memory: 3.84GB
Available pm: 1.91GB
Total virtual memory: 7.87GB
Available vm: 5.68GB

wondering if I can add more RAM or whatever to my laptop?

No if using XP. Perhaps possible if Vista. Best to run the scan at click here this will give you exact details of what is or is not, possible.

Its not using what you have, You do not need more than three Gig

PS if you had no memory it would not boot up to give the memory, what you have is too much installed

Yes remove Some Memory, If you have two then remove one. As I said your Computer Would not boot if you did not Have Memory in it. So the Message is meaningless

Have you checked your Hard Drive to see how much Free Space is on it?

Then you are using the maximum amount of memory.

3.84Gig plus your onboard graphics brings the total to 4Gig.
