Can connect to Internet via Network Problems

We have a home network connected to a central hub. One of the computers, an XP system, can connect to the internet (all ethernet btw), but I'm unable to connect or even see other PC's on the network. We use one PC (Vista), which most of the printers we have run from, which I'm able to see & use one folder, but I cannot add the printers on to the XP system. I know this message probably doesn't make sense, but please help!

If you have a Firewall such as Zone Alarm as well as one covering the hub, disable Zone Alarm which is probably doing its job but stops connecting or seeing the other computers
