Can this be done?????.

I have 2 computers, an AMD 64 3500 running XP and a Shuttle with an AMD 3000 xp running Fedora 4.
These both use a D-Link router to access the internet.
However I cannot seem to set my printer up to work on the network with Fedora.

Now the question is the printer has a parrallel and USB connections, is it possible to use both connections (one to XP and one to fedora) as I would only be feeding information from one computer at a time.
Has anyone actually done this.?

I do. My main desktop is connected to the paralled port and my laptop is connected with the USB. I unplug the laptop when its not using the printer. Try it as I am sure it will work

Thanks for that Hamish.
As neither of my computers have a parrallel connection I will have to order a parrellel/USB cable.
At least I can buy the cable now and Know it has a chance of working.

Thanks for that Hamish, I have just ordered a HP one as my printer is a HP950c.
Got it on E-Bay including postage £8.19.
