Can anyone identify this program for me

I have a program called Haali Media Splitter in my list of programs which I cannot identify. It appears to have been installed about a month ago and I do not recall doing it. It has a sub folder called Matroska Splitter.

My grandduaghter has access to my computer when doing her school work and I'm wondering if she has inadvertantly installed something. She's usually quite good at informing me if there's something she isn't sure about.

Any help would be appreciated before I uninstall it.

Have you tried Google? A quick search reveals a number of responses using the tag line 'Haali Media Splitter'.

Here is an example of the responses returned, http://download.chip.eu/en/Haali-Media-Splitter_8063220.html.

Hope this helps. In the meantime come to an agreement as I have done with the grandchildren, Absolutely no downloads with me being present!! Otherwise I simply delete them without question (downloads not the grandchildren)...

I am with Salut tell the grand Kids they are not allowed to download anything on your computer.

It may not be their fault it may have been something that you have downloaded.

But where kids are concerned no downloads or they do not use the computer again.

Looks like legitimate programs so no harm done.

Kids need to make mistakes to learn.

You could create their own restricted Accounts.

They could use a Linux LiveCD (but then they miss out on the joys of Windows.

You could make a System Image before letting them loose, and Restore it when they have gone. (difficult if they are round every day)

Or just a Restore Point.
