Can anyone help with a Word symbol?

  Totally-braindead 21:20 19 Sep 08

I have an online application to fill out and it needs me to insert a symbol in a certain part of it, basically its a square box and I need to tick it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I thought I could replace the box with a symbol of the box with a tick in it but can't find the symbol for this.
Can anyone help? Anyone know the code for this symbol or give me some guidance as to how I do this?

Hi, TB, Just put a tick to replace the box?

If it is a text box then click in the box go to Insert - Symbol and then select Wingdings as your font and scroll down until you see the tick.

Thanks, I thought of that but it doesn't look right. I did manage to do this before in Word so I know you can do it but I'm damned if I can recall how I did it and its really annoying me as I know its quite easy.

You may need to play around with the font size.

Thank you Woolwell got it now, I knew it was simple enough. Brilliant, thanks very much.
