Can anyone answer this Norton Ghost 9.0 query?

I have just acquired Norton Ghost 9.0 and have been reading through the manual. I am puzzled about one thing. In describing how to restore a backed-up drive, the manual says the user will be given the option to 'Resize drive to fill unallocated space' and goes on: 'Automatically expands the drive to occupy the destination drive's remaining unallocated space'. Maybe I'm dim but I don't know what this means and the Symantec support people only repeat the above. All I want is to be able to restore my C drive to how it used to be. Should I take the option to expand the drive or not? Simple query, I thought, but Symantec evidently doesn't think so. Can anyone here help me?

If you relace a 40gb hdd with an 80gb hdd ghost will use the 80gb, plus if you have a partition on your hdd ghost will overwrite the partition into a single drive, so be careful in your choices when you restore.
