Camcorder recognition problems with Win XP

  PJN 09:09 01 Mar 03

My camcorder (panasonic NVEX3EN) is not recognised by windows XP. The camcorder is working and is recognised using windows ME but bnot under windows XP I have been informed by the panasonic engineer that it is a firewire driver problem as not all cameras are supported by the in built Win XP firewire drivers.

He has suggested that I install a texas instruments driver but I have been unable to locate one.

Please help!

Thanks Pete Newman

If you reinstall the firewire card there should be options on which drivers to install, select Texas I. I'm not sure this will solve the xp prob and it may be best to dual boot with 98 as your capturing/ptt os.
