Calling line ID

As a voluntary group we share an office with a local council dept. The telephone network in the office is BT Featureline. We would like to have an internet connection from our phone, based on a pay as you go system, however the Featureline set up does not supply Calling line ID, which is preventing us from tying into an ISP. Is there any ISP that does not require Calling Line ID ?. Or any other solution.

I think most Pay-as-you-go do not need caller ID. you just pay for the call.

Remember to put 9 before the number, and hope that call barring will not prevent your access. If it does, request the council to unbar the extension to 0845 numbers.

If you have a dedicated fax or similar line, it would probably be cheaper all round to request that this could be also be used for a broadband service as the fax service would not be affected.
